This website is operated by Hollow Gill Huts. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Hollow Gill Huts. Hollow Gill Huts offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

Our online booking website is independently hosted and solely owned by Hollow Gill Huts. This provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

SECTION 1 – ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer.

All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.

We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

SECTION 6 – ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address.

In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

You further agree that your comments will not contain libellous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website, should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.

You agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you.

You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.

In no case shall Hollow Gill Huts, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

SECTION 14 – INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Hollow Gill Huts and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

SECTION 15 – CANCELLATION, NO SHOW & FORCE MAJEURE

Hollow Gill Huts requires written notification of cancellation from the traveller. Cancellation notifications received 30 days or more before the arrival check-in date will be liable to a 30% of the total of your stay cancellation fee.

If Hollow Gill Huts cancel your booking for health and safety and/or quality issues, you are entitled to a full refund of the money you have paid. You may opt to change your booking to another date, subject to availability. Any additional cost relating to a change of dates would be payable.

Any liability arising from the cancellation of your stay by Hollow Gill Huts, is strictly limited to the total sum paid to us by you.

Hollow Gill Huts Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and we do not permit any persons to sell or trade our gift vouchers. The dates of bookings paid for fully, or in part, with a Hollow Gill Huts Gift Voucher may be amended, provided the changes are made at least six weeks before the start of the stay. If the stay is cancelled less than six weeks before the holiday start date, no part of the booking will be refunded.

Hollow Gill Huts strongly recommend that you take out UK travel insurance when you make your booking.

SECTION 16 – PAYMENT POLICY

Bookings made via this website can be made by paying in full at the time of booking or by paying a 30% deposit of the total value of your booking, with the outstanding balance paid no later than 30 days prior to your arrival date.

You are not allowed to pay a 30% deposit if your booking is within 30 days of your arrival date.

Hollow Gill Huts Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and we do not permit any persons to sell or trade our gift vouchers.

Hollow Gill Huts reserve the right to change our prices at any time.

Bookings are made online and we accept most major debit/credit cards.

SECTION 17 – RESELLING BOOKINGS

Hollow Gill Huts must be booked by a person over the age of 18 and are not for resale. The person who made the booking must be in attendance for the duration of the stay booked.

SECTION 18 – DOCUMENTATION AND PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION

Hollow Gill Huts may ask for proof of address and personal identification when arriving.

SECTION 19 – CLEANING

Hollow Gill Huts must be left as clean and tidy as when you found them. Cleaning products are in the huts for your use. This includes the hob, microwave, sink area, crockery, cutlery, pans, utensils and shower room. Bins need to be emptied and sorted into the recycling bins near the bike store before your departure.

Hollow Gill Huts reserves the right to enter and inspect the huts at any time. If a hut is left in an unsatisfactory condition, or deliberately damaged in any way, we reserve the right to make a charge to the booking payment method (or retain from any security deposit).

SECTION 20 – FAR CAPPLESIDE FARM

Hollow Gill Huts is situated on Far Cappleside Farm and this is a live working farm. Whilst Hollow Gill Huts wants you to enjoy the surrounding countryside, scenery and animals that graze the land, please be aware that the farmland is strictly private land is not accessible for Hollow Gill Huts guests during their stay.

Please do not enter or use any of the farmland (that is not a public right of way), farmyard, outbuildings or farm machinery and equipment at any point during your stay.

Hollow Gill Huts want all guests to enjoy the experience of being surrounded by countryside on Far Cappleside Farm, but please respect the regulations for yours and your guests safety.

The trackway as you turn into Far Cappleside Farm from the main road is part of the farmland and may be being used by the employees of the farm. Please ensure you always

Also, please be aware that at certain times of the year, important jobs will be carried out on the farm, such as slurry spreading and silage harvesting. These are important for the farm to continue running but can sometimes cause smells and some noise.

SECTION 21 – EVACUATION

In the event of requiring a hut evacuation, the assembly point is situated in the car park. Please make your way as quickly and as safely as possible to this point before calling the emergency services on 999 and the onsite team on 07738 224 787.

SECTION 22 – REPORTING A PROBLEM OR REQUESTING AN EXTRA

Please call us or message us on 07738 224 787 if you have any problems, would like to discuss anything or require any extras.

SECTION 23 – SMOKING

There is absolutely no smoking (including e-cigarettes) permitted in the huts. You are allowed to smoke outside the huts in the outdoor spaces, but it is your responsibility to safely discard of cigarettes and dispose of them. Please do not leave any cigarette ends on the ground.

SECTION 24 – DOGS

No dogs are permitted in the huts, unless it is a guide dog and is agreed prior to arrival. Dogs are able to stay in our Hollow Gill Huts Kennels for a £7 per night fee, per dog.

SECTION 25 – GROUP BOOKINGS

The maximum occupancy of the huts is 4 persons, please check the huts information before booking.

Group bookings are permitted for the 3 huts.

SECTION 26 – ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE

On arrival, please drive all the way up to the Hollow Gill Huts car park.

Each hut has a keypad on the external walls and a code will be communicated with you prior to arrival. Please call 07738 224 787 if you have any problems.

Check-in is from 4pm on your arrival date and check-out is by 10am on your departure date. Late check-out can be paid for in advance and you will need to leave by 11am if purchased.

SECTION 27 – CODE OF CONDUCT

Hollow Gill Huts wants you to enjoy your stay in the huts. Please respect them and look after them too.

Whilst the site is small, please also respect other guests and keep noise down to a minimum after 10pm.

Parents are responsible for their children and children must be supervised at all times.

Some of the drystone walls on the farm are old and it is important that we keep them looking amazing and functional too. Please don’t climb on them or allow children to play on them.

SECTION 28 – EXTRA VISITORS

Visitors are allowed to come and see guests on the site, although Hollow Gill Huts kindly ask that all visitors that are not staying leave by 10pm.

There isn’t a limit to the number of visitors coming to see you as guests, but we ask that you are respectful to other guests using the site.

SECTION 29 – HUT RULES

To keep the huts luxury, we ask that you don’t wear any shoes inside them. We have provided boot boxes directly outside each hut for you to store these in.

Please do not use your own fuel for the fire pits/BBQs.

No smoking inside the huts.

SECTION 30 – CAMPFIRES / BBQs

Campfires and guests own BBQs and fires are not permitted on site.

Fuel for our fire pits and barbecues must be bought from Hollow Gill Huts – guests own wood or charcoal is not permitted.

SECTION 31 – LIABILITY

Hollow Gill Huts accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to your car or property whilst on Hollow Gill Huts site and Far Cappleside Farm.

SECTION 32 – DAMAGE, LOSS, THEFT & PERSONAL INJURY

All guests at Hollow Gill Huts agree to inform the onsite team of any damage or loss however caused, excluding reasonable wear and tear incurred whilst using the huts.

Guests should not remove any item from the huts and Hollow Gill Huts may ask for reasonable replacement costs. Charges for damaged or missing items may be made to the payment card used at the time of booking, without prior notification. We understand that mistakes and accidents happen, and we ask you to let us know of any damage caused immediately so we can help to rectify and sort the issue.

Hollow Gill Huts are not responsible for any damage, loss, theft and/or personal injury to any guests whilst using our huts and will not be held liable.

SECTION 33 – GOVERNING LAW

These Payment Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom.

SECTION 34 – CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE

You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Enjoy a firepit with hardwood fire logs fresh from the farm. 

Our logs are 100% hardwood with a moisture content of less than 20%, ensuring maximum heat output with less smoke and are perfect for making a roaring fire under the night’s sky at Hollow Gill Huts.

You can purchase this from us at any point during your stay, so if you want to keep warm on your patio, buy a bag before you arrive on our booking system or let us know at any point during your stay.
